Remote Mechanical operate out of Alice Springs in some of Australia's toughest conditions. When Darcy Imhoff started the business, he noticed remote and rural businesses were suffering substantial down times and losing productivity when their machinery or plant and equipment needed servicing or maintenance.
The downtime affected the rural business itself, putting people on hiatus and even sometimes out of work. When it can take up to three to four weeks turnaround from a tow truck arriving, get the truck or machinery repaired and then returned, it affects the business and then also affected the whole community around them.
Darcy and his wife Bec operate the remote servicing centre from their Hino Ranger Pro and travel some serious distances to get to needy communities and business. You will usually find Darcy out bush with his phone diverted to Bec's as a lot of towns and locations get no reception at all. Remote mechanical travel regularly across red dirt roads in stinking hot conditions and freezing cold nights to help the people around them.
