The high levels of standard safety features in the 300 Series trucks was highly commended by the panel of judges in the Australasian Fleet Champions Awards.
Hino Australia has been recognised as a transport safety leader at the tenth anniversary of the Australasian Fleet Champions Awards, held on 27th October, 2021.
Run by Brake, the global road safety charity, the Awards recognise the achievement of those working to help reduce the number of road crashes involving at-work drivers in Australia and New Zealand.
The high levels of standard safety features in the 500 Series Standard Cab and 300 Series trucks were highly commended by the panel of judges.
Daniel Petrovski, Department Manager for Product Strategy at Hino Australia attended the virtual awards on behalf of Hino:
“Both the 500 Series Standard Cab (2019) and 300 Series (2020) trucks boast class-leading active safety packages with Hino SmartSafe, a comprehensive safety package with advanced driver-assist technology that takes an active focus in protecting the life of drivers,” he said.
The Hino SmartSafe package includes a Pre Collision System including Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Anti-Lock Braking System and more. The 500 Series Standard Cab also features Adaptive Cruise Control.
